It depends on your definition of 'Class-10', November 20, 2011 By This review is from: PNY 32 GB microSDHC Flash Memory Card (P-SDU32G10-EFS2) (Personal Computers) I purchased this PNY 32 GB microSDHC Flash Memory Card (P-SDU32G10-EFS2) over one month ago, to expand the storage of my Pandigital Planet 7" Android Tablet (R70A200). At that time, this 'class-10' card was priced just slightly above other 'class-4' cards, so it looked like a good deal. After thoroughly testing the card, however, I was disappointed by its lackluster performance.
I benchmarked this PNY card upon its arrival, using the "Flash Memory Toolkit v2.0". Its read speed is consistently high at 14-18MB/s. But its write speed is strongly dependent on the file size:
- For smaller files of 2-5MB, its write speed is very poor at just 3-5MB/s

I'm currently using a 16GB class 4 that has average write speed at about 6.7MB/sec. It takes about 40 minutes to fill up my current 16GB card. I was hoping I could cut down the time to reload the movies with this PNY class-10 microSD card. However, I was very disappointed when this microSD card maxed out just about 8.5MB/sec write speed. I used SDFormatter from sdcard.org to reformat the card, but the result did not improve at all. It took 1 full hour to fill up the card (with file size of 1GB - 1.5GB each). Read speed was considerably faster - at about 16MB/sec. On the package it says "15MB/sec max" write speed.
I gave this card 2 stars because it has decent read speed, but it was unable to meet the Class-10 specification, which (I think) should have a minimum write speed of 10MB/s.

Almost class 10. Lots of storage space, decent speed at an incredible price. A quick 4gb test from the H2testw showed the following:
Writing speed: 9.09 MByte/s
Reading speed: 17.6 MByte/s
When used with my ContourHD camera, 720p60 clips seem to stutter when playing right out of the camera. Videos are ok when extracted to the hard disk, but I have yet to fill upthe card with videos so more usage is needed to conclude on the card's long term stability.
The main reasons I bought this was because of the high speed, high storage at a relatively low price. Of course, I was hoping that it can deliver, but the current results are pretty decent. Also, this might be a limitation of either my card reader or USB port, so I'll give the card the benefit of the doubt. It was also on discount at $59.99, which makes it an even better buy.
